Radio Interview WASU w/ Dj Mr. Fitz – (MP3):
Part One
Part Two

XLR8R Magazine
"Dj Goldenchyld's excellent Ear Infections, meanwhile, treads the middle ground between the other two (mix cd's). It's not quite a traditional album, but it's not just a mixtape either. There are few instances where Goldenchyld stands back and lets a record play. The rest of the time, he's making honest-to-god songs out of beats, samples, and scratches. This ain't GC merely playing records, nor is it him using records to make beats for vocalists, nor is it a super scratch-happy finger workout masquerading as songs. It's his own musical expression- a turntablists attempt to engage in the true compositional aspects of making music. As such, it's not just a great listening experience, but a positive step in the continuing evolution of djing." – Pete Babb

"Yay for the first mixed album in about 5 years that I can actually get down to. Bay area tablist Goldenchyld from the Fingerbangerz crew comes with a wide ranging (although predominantly laid-back) array of material and drops an instant classic on this one. It does sort of teeter the boundary of the whole mashup craze- ehh fuck, it pretty much is a mashup tape. But even though the whole mashup thing is nearing the end of it‚s rope (just like the trucker hats and Teenage Millionaire shirts before it) it still has a couple fresh angles that haven‚t yet been exploited. I have to admit, I‚m not real keen on hearing 50 Cent over Jefferson Starship‚s "We Built This City On Rock And Roll," and thankfully, Goldenchyld keeps his rock/whatever else/hip hop experiments relatively distant from the realm of the ridiculous. And while I'm not going to give up any of the tracks he shoves together on Ear Infections, I will say this: his remix of "Elevators" alone makes the cd worth buying." - Vapors Staff

"Representing the Fingerbangerz crew out of the Bay Area comes Dj Goldenchyld. Straying from your typical hip-hop mixed CD, Goldenchyld blesses you with an eclectic mix of music from various genres. All of it mixed and scratched just enough to keep you grooving while you listen to it at work. Not scratch-heavy at all (which is what you might have expected), the CD is comprised of smooth down-tempo jams. Imagin driving over the Golden Gate Bridge on a Sunday afternoon puffin' on a fatty with your woman ridin' shotgun giving you a handjob." -PO
